Events for the Community
On a crisp, clear February afternoon 10 hardy souls gathered in the top field at the Study Centre to learn the skill of willow weaving. Under Olivia Keith's expert tutelage we all set about our projects...
Working with a beautiful array of, amongst other woods, willow, buckthorn, maple and ash we constructed a marvellous collection of structures that will now grace various gardens across Hampshire and Wiltshire.
It was a great experience and after some careful manoeuvring most people managed to get their creations into their cars!!
Everyone enjoyed the event and it was a delight to make objects purely out of natural materials.

Flour flew, gluten grew and pittas puffed over the weekend of 3/4 December 2011 as two, one day, courses took place at the Study Centre under expert guidance and tuition of Paul Merry from 'Panary' in Dorset.
Altogether 20 apprentice master bakers…

At the time of planning it I imagined the 'Wild Cooking' course taking place inside the Round House around a roaring wood fire. But in the event it was sunny and quite warm so we 'had lessons outside'!
