Heather Workshop at Minstead Study Centre

Welcome to the Minstead Study Centre's Community Web Site

This web site has been created to bring you information about the Study Centre's programme of Community Events. We have been part funded by the New Forest National Park Authority's Sustainable Development Fund and we will be running the programme through to March 2012. The information on the site will grow as the project develops and you can join in by signing up and give us ideas, feedback as well as posting photos and videos.

Willow Working for the Garden

On a crisp, clear February afternoon 10 hardy souls gathered in the top field at the Study Centre to learn the skill of willow weaving.  Under Olivia Keith's expert tutelage we all set about our projects...

Working with a beautiful array of, amongst other woods, willow, buckthorn, maple and ash we constructed a marvellous collection of structures that will now grace various gardens across Hampshire and Wiltshire.

Continental Breads were Baked!

Flour flew, gluten grew and pittas puffed over the weekend of 3/4 December 2011 as two, one day, courses took place at the Study Centre under expert guidance and tuition of Paul Merry from 'Panary' in Dorset.

Wild Cooking in the November Sunshine
